A double-Companion, Mary has been pursuing a quest to become a "Poor Clare at Large" and offer one-on-one encouragement for people wanting to grow closer to God or 'work smarter' in their ministry. Through sponsorship by fellow Franciscans and the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, she is making herself available to the Almighty as a listening and 'cheerleading' companion in the spirit of Saint Clare.

DO keep Mary in your prayers as she hopes to encourage people from 'all quarters', that she grow in wisdom and availability for this ministry.
As a Companion with the Third Order (Episcopal, TSSF), Mary cherishes the tenets of Franciscan spirituality which spill over into other faith traditions that value Simplicity of Life, Peace, the Unconditional Love of God, and Creation Care.
Mary is scripture-fluent and in friendship with agnostics, Muslims, Orthodox Christians, and mystics. Spiritual direction to her means Holy Listening. She has offered spiritual care respectful of all faith traditions during her entire nursing career, and is trained in the ministry of healing through St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bellingham, WA. She aims to become 'certified' in the summer of 2024.
